Subbaiah Dental Hospital

Subbaiah Dental College is a proposed 250 dental chairs dental hospital with a built up area of 1,00,000 sft. Presently the hospital has a built up space of 70,200 sft, with 100 dental chairs which are electrical and hydraulic. Various departments such as oral and maxillofacial surgery, prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, Endodontics, Paedodontics, oral medicine & Radiology and community Dentistry are made available for the patients to undergo dental treatment.

Every day around 150 to 200 patients visit this hospital and avail free treatment. The dental college is attached to the adjoining Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences which takes care of 24/7 dental emergency services of the dental hospital along with the RTA involving head & neck. A community Dental van with an inbuilt dental chair fitted goes around the villages and as part of the community dentistry Programme. Dental camps are conducted for the people of Shimoga and neighbouring towns.
